Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: WEAREOKAY

Do you remember that one guy in high school? The gritty charmer who threw the wildest parties and never seemed to get in trouble? Well, he grew up, and today he’s cooler than ever. When Flaco of WEAREOKAY graduated from high school house parties to the underground band scene, he bounced around from project to project searching for the right fit. Things changed when he asked his former partner in party-throwing crime Stephen to contribute back up vocals to Flaco’s passion project and the duo hit an unstoppable stride. Friends Wiki (drums) and Jordan (guitar) joined shortly after and WEAREOKAY was born. They settled quickly into a unique sound that feels like your favorite vibey SoCal pop punk if it spent the summer on the streets of NYC. Their songs cover classic emo and pop punk topics with clean, simple story telling and lyrics that beg you to sign along. These guys are only just getting started; with six tracks released since 2024 and a full length album in the works, WEAREOKAY is poised to hit the scene running, and earn a spot on your frequent plays before you know it.

Q: If you had to credit one band or artist with being your biggest influence, who would it be?
A: Probably Sum 41, I remember watching their music videos on http://AOL.com back in the day and being hooked on the music and rebellious vibe.
Q: What’s your dream venue, the place that will feel like you’ve “made it” once you play there?
A: It’s always been a dream of mine to play Red Rocks, I have had a few buddies in bands play there and it just seems like the mecha of theaters.
Q: If you could pick any band or artist, past or present, to tour with, who would it be?
A: Fuckkkk this is tough. Probably Blink 182 with The Story So Far being a close second.
Q: If each of you was a Disney character, who would you be?
A: Jordan - The Hulk

Stephen - Woody from Toy Story
Flaco - probably Pumba from lion king
Q: Any new music or upcoming tours we should know about? Anything brewing behind the scenes you can give a hint about?
A: We just played our first few shows and are excited to hit 2026 hard. Working on finishing our debut album eyeing a spring release so keep your eyes peeled!
