What happens when four nerdy scene kids grow up but refuse to grow out of their love of emo music? Turns out, they get together to form a pretty rad band. Self-proclaimed ‘sad dad’ rockers, @Further North, are everything you remember loving about your local pop-punk garage band, only a little older and with an extensive library of corny puns at the ready.
Since 2017 the Texas foursome has endeavored to deliver feel good vibes and bring smiles to listeners faces wherever they can. Their sound is full and energetic; the songs are delightfully catchy and a joy to sing along with. Fans of New Found Glory, Mxpx, and Jimmy Eat world will enjoy a familiar playful, easy going vibe bolstered with insightful lyrics and a pinch of dissonance to keep things interesting. These guys aren’t just keeping pop punk alive, they’re driving it forward with the energy and enthusiasm of their inner emo-kid selves. Steve, John Marc, Chris, and Timmy frequent local Dallas venues and take their set on tour whenever grown up life allows.
Check out Further North on Spotify, and be sure to give them a follow on Instagram and Tiktok [@furthernothtx] to stay up to date with tour dates and new releases. Keep reading to learn more about the guys from Further North in their own words.
