Hailing from the Northeast, @No Take Backs are wasting no time carving out their place in the emo revival scene. What started as a series of one-off shows with a rotating cast of characters turned into something real when the four-piece officially came together in 2024. Vocalist Tyler Dible and longtime friend Brendon Johnson (guitar) teamed up with Reece Matincheck (bass) and Tristin Gray (drums) to create a band built on heart, honesty, and the drive to bring back everything we love about grassroots emo.
Inspired by modern scene staples like The Story So Far and Armor For Sleep, No Take Backs blend danceable, pop-leaning melodies with lyrics that will hit even the most seasoned emo kids right in the feels. The vibe is familiar but fresh, like the first trip back to your favorite local venue after a decade away.
These days the guys are hitting the road with fellow up and comers, Handguns, bringing their songs to the ears of pop punk lovers in small local venues across the east coast. Their small but mighty discography holds its own already, and a sad little birdie tells me something new and exciting may be coming in 2026.
