War on Betty is the passion project of longtime California rockers Kenton Remmey (Silence of You), and Nate Novarro (Cobra Starship). Together they produce a singular sound that’s a little punk, a little playful, insanely high energy and big enough to fill a stadium ten times over. Their songs are aggressive, but bouncy; completely chaotic and guaranteed to get you moving. While the duo are the only permanent members, they pull from their circle of talented friends to fill out the lineup whenever the opportunity to play live comes available. Fans of Rage Against the Machine and Every Time I Die will absolutely love the intense, powerful vibes these guys deliver. If you had to credit one band or artist with being your biggest influence, who would it be?

We get compared to Every Time I Die quite a bit and honestly that’s a compliment I’ll happily take. They’re the gold standard for chaos with charisma. They could melt a stage and make you laugh in the same breath. Plus it probably doesn’t help that I look like the brother of Andy Williams. So maybe it’s destiny.

What’s your dream venue — the place that’ll feel like you’ve “made it” once you play there?

It’s not some massive arena but for me, it’s Chain Reaction (RIP) in Anaheim, CA. That room is sacred ground for heavy music. If you’ve ever been in there when it’s at capacity, you know it’s less of a show and more of a pressure cooker. The walls sweat. Selling out that room would feel like proof that this thing we’re building is actually resonating with people.

The Chariot. Without a doubt. Those shows were pure unfiltered chaos. No gimmicks. Just joyful destruction. Touring with them would’ve been like being invited into a hurricane and told, “good luck, hang on to something.”
