If you’re reading this (which… clearly you are), you probably remember the first time you heard the music that finally made the world make sense. The first song that sounded like everything you’ve ever felt but could never quite explain. For many of us this was an experience from our youth; and the music, though fantastic, was probably a little… immature. Over time we grew up with our favorite artists, they wrote more sophisticated songs about the increasing pressures of the world while we lived through them. It’s been a great time.
What if I told you that you could experience that first moment again, only this time as a grown up? I promise, if you haven’t yet clocked in to the hauntingly emotional sounds of Scaredy Cat, you are in for a heck of a ride. Scaredy Cat is the current passion project of a long-time indie musician with a signature sound that screams 2005, and lyrics that go straight for your 2026-worn heartstrings. His powerhouse vocals and intentional arrangements are served best at high volume, at a time and place where you can sit and appreciate the care that’s written into every measure. This is not the angsty pop punk of your youth, this stuff is heavy, and it’s beautiful.
