Have you ever wondered what it would be like if The Beatles played pop punk? Yeah…. neither have I, but now I have a pretty good idea of what it might sound like. Modern Haze is a UK based indie rock band that holds true to their British roots while blending modern alternative and pop punk vibes to put out a sound that stands apart from the crowd in all the right ways. Drawing from an eclectic mix of influences, from Fleetwood Mack to Kings of Leon and the Arctic Monkeys, Modern Haze is ready to grab your attention and never let it go. Since assembling in 2023, the trio have produced three outstanding singles and an eight-song EP titled What’s the Alternative? Indie fans will want to keep an ear out for even more new music coming from the far side of the pond; this band is just getting started.

Interview
Cameron Conrad sits down with Jack, Jake, Devon, and Modern Haze
What’s your dream venue, the place that will feel like you’ve “made it” once you play there?
Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage—It’s one of the most iconic stages in the world, and playing there would be a real milestone for Modern Haze.
If you could pick any band or artist, past or present, to tour with, who would it be?
Arctic Monkeys would be my dream tour. They’ve nailed that balance of sharp songwriting, style, and a live show that really hits.
Touring with Black Sabbath would be the dream. Sharing a stage with a band that defined heavy, era-shaping rock would be surreal.
My dream tour would be hitting the road with Dave Matthews Band. The way they lock in as musicians and build that live chemistry with a massive crowd is impressive.
If you were a Disney character, who would you be?
Flynn Rider, Tangled (all charm and confidence)
Baloo, The Jungle Book (cool, laid back, all about good vibes)
Genie, Aladdin (big energy, always animated)
If we gave out high-school superlatives today, what would each of you win?
“Best Use of a Breakup as Career Development.”
“Most Likely to Say Three Words and Play 300 Perfect Notes.”
“Most Likely to Turn Anything into a Drum Kit.”
What’s the craziest, cringiest thing you’ve done for the sake of your music?
We once shot a DIY promo in a freezing car park at midnight with a dodgy generator and someone’s car headlights for lighting. Let’s just say... commitment isn’t our problem.
Any new music or upcoming tours we should know about?
We’re in the middle of writing the next Modern Haze tracks, and they’re already shaping up to be our strongest songs yet. New music and shows will be announced throughout 2026, and we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on with everyone. Keep rockin', Hazers!!
