Once upon a time, the world woke up. After years of deep isolation and global societal trauma, as the fear began to dissipate and people started to reconnect, Nicholas, Robby, Sam, and Grey found themselves in search of a musical home; so they made one for themselves. Savings came together, as so many bands do, as a group of friends with music in their bones and a passion to share it with the world. Between 2022 and 2024, the band produced ten outstanding singles, and two well-loved EPs. Somewhere along the line though, they found themselves lost in the algorithm, unsure of how well their music represented their authentic creative identities. Savings chose to step back, with intention and care, to reassess their relationship with their craft and their audience. They returned in July, 2026 with “Stressed Out”, an honest and captivating single that leads listeners through an intimate story of wading through the fog of overwhelm to reconnect with one’s true purpose and identity. The sound is a bit more mellow and open than their earlier work; each part shines as the lyrics draw the audience through a vivid and deeply relatable story. Savings fans have plenty to look forward to, as the band has shared openly that they intend to continue pursuing this new, more authentic sound; with more new music and shows coming soon.
