Music festival announcements for the 2026 season have been an emotional roller coaster for the fans. From the news of When We Were Young’s cancellation to The Vans Warped Tour’s 30 days of Warped (which has curiously continued well past 30 days), and tour announcements coming out left and right leading to so much anxious speculation about who might show up on which lineups, it’s been non-stop chaos in the scene. Adding to the frenzy is the enthusiastically welcomed announcement that Four Chord Music Festival 12 is a go, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Four Chord is uniquely special to music lovers because it represents and carries forth the grass roots origins of our beloved scene. First launched in a Pittsburgh small room in 2014, the independent festival has always been about bringing together local bands and audiences. Today, Pittsburgh's emerging acts are celebrated alongside scene icons, drawing fans from across the globe to fill increasingly bigger venues each year.
NAPNET’s own Chris and Nick of The Wasting Time Podcast were honored to provide exclusive coverage for the fest the past two years (well earned, in our opinion), after previously interviewing founder Rishi Bhal in 2023. Sadly, despite our attempts to bribe them with copious offerings of American junk food, the boys across the pond haven’t yet let on if they’ll be returning for a third year. As we anxiously wait alongside the rest of you for lineup and ticket announcements, we know one thing for sure: Four Chord Music Fest 12 is going to be a great one.
