About Jeremy
Jeremy Houtsma is a Licensed Mental Health therapist and has been in the mental health field for over 14 years. Born in NJ Jeremy got into the emo scene in 2002 after a high school crush asked him to learn the song August in Bethany by the Juliana Theory. Jeremy popped the cd into his computer and the first track “This is not a love song” blew him away; thus began his love affair with the emo scene. After spending his late teens and early 20s going to shows, manning merch tables, promoting, and playing shows on the East and West Coasts Jeremy settled on a career in counseling psychology. 14 years, one marriage, 2 kids and a long career later, Jeremy is just as into the scene as he was at 20. Jeremy never forgets how lucky he is to do this podcast and is grateful to everyone who listens.
