NO SKIP REVIEWS
Welcome to No Skip Reviews, a space where we only talk about the albums, concerts, and artists we genuinely love. This isn’t about critique or tearing anything down. It’s about celebrating the records we play front to back, the live sets that left us buzzing, and the bands that remind us why we fell in love with the scene in the first place. If it’s here, it’s because we couldn’t skip it and we don’t think you should either.
The Format Return With Boycott Heaven: A Reunion the Scene Never Stopped Waiting For
It’s been years since The Format last released a full album, but somehow, they never felt gone. Their songs stayed alive in playlists, in lyric captions, in the quiet moments where “On Your Porch” still hit just as hard as it did the first time. On January 23, that legacy continues with Boycott Heaven.
Emo Kids Anonymous Podcast: Ep 99 - Everyone Asked About You
On today’s episode of Emo Kids Anonymous, Robb is joined by Chris Sheppard and Matt Bradley of Everyone Asked About You. EAAY are an emo band formed in Little Rock, AR in 1996. They released two EPs and recorded an LP before disbanding in 2000. After years of online file swapping and message board buzz, the band reunited in 2022 and now they are back and better than ever.
Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: Flwers
The kids are, in fact, alright; actually they’re better than alright, they’re killing it. Midwestern foursome Flwrs have survived the trauma of middle school hallways, cross country moves, even COVID… none of that was going to keep them from chasing their dreams. Twin brothers Collin (guitar/vocals) and Connor (bass/vocals) and their childhood friend Austin(drums) began playing together in their youth, continuing into their college years where they found lead guitar and vocalist Jack and with him their ultimate lineup.
Stereo Therapy Podcast - EP 144: Ghost Tour
Today on the show, Lisa was joined by Mike Andronico of Ghost Tour! Mike shares how New Found Glory was an important force in his life, the importance of our local scene and how we can help support it, the details of the new EP "Feel Some Good Again" and so much more.
Robb’s Recs: Cry January
Welcome to Robb’s Recs! A monthly article where I, a middle aged man (derogatory) suggest newer bands and artists to my fellow middle aged (complimentary) emo adults. I have obnoxiously declared 2025 the best year for emo (and emo adjacent) music in decades so 2026 has some big Toms to fill.
Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: The Carolyn
There’s just something about a good DIY punk band.. the raw edge, honest writing, the artistic passion that explodes out of the speakers and into your soul. Atlanta based up and comers, The Carolyn, have it all in spades.
Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: Have Fun!
Elder emos rejoice; Massachusetts foursome, Have Fun! are here to deliver all the nostalgic feels you’ve been missing. Their curious origin story includes early releases produced with Alan Day (Four Years Strong) and an appearance on Judge Jerry Springer. Since 2022, though, the guys have sorted out their lineup and their sound, inspired by classic scene sweethearts including Fall Out Boy and Bayside. Their songs range from playful pop-punk bangers to cozy, shoe gazey chill tracks; they bring a little something for every emo kid in your mom’s minivan. Have Fun! Is coming for every one of your sad little hearts, and they won’t stop until they’ve touched them all.
Boy Throb, TikTok, and the Cost of Virality: What It Means for the Scene
Boy Throb versus the Shadow Baddies - it's this year's biggest boy band battle, not unlike NSYNC vs Backstreet Boys in the 90's. Only this time, something feels different. It’s raising an important question: Are these bands meant to be bands, or are they entertainers first and artists second?
NAPNET Presents: Most Anticipated Albums of 2026
2025 was a pivotal year in terms of new music releases - from bands that have been around for years, to up-and-coming artists bringing a fresh, new sound to the scene. With the turn of a new year, could 2026 possibly top the music drops of 2025?
Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: The Drawn Out
Greetings, friends; allow me to introduce you to the most wholesome band in the scene. Meet The Drawn Out. With sparkling vocals and moving melodies, they join an exploding cohort of female-fronted bands taking over the scene.
Robb’s Recs: The Top 25 of ‘25
2025 was the best year of my adult life when it comes to music. I feel blessed that so many of the bands on this list are bands who have been on our show (the instant hit podcast, Emo Kids Anonymous).
Robb’s Recs: December Downers
December is finally upon us and you know what that means! It’s list season! At this very moment, jits from every corner of the earth are writing their wish lists to the big guy while he’s checking and rechecking his list, making sure it’s perfect. That’s kind of an analogy for December, ya know?
Under Exposed Artist Spotlight: WEAREOKAY
Do you remember that one guy in high school? The gritty charmer who threw the wildest parties and never seemed to get in trouble? Well, he grew up, and today he’s cooler than ever.
